作品３ 「Indigo Dragon」 蒼龍

龍とは縁があるのか、人生を通して、時々龍を描いている。
初めて龍を描いたのは、小学生の絵画コンテストで、「竜の子太郎」。コロモの一枚一枚を丁寧に描いたら、入賞した。
この作品は大学の時。エッチング版画。

What motived me to start this charity

I just watched a documentary that tells truth about today's Afganistan.
(To watch the whole documentary, click the Orange Button right of the movie window.)

In that country, so many adults lost their jobs, and cannot find next one. So their children have to work as well to help their family without going to school.

One boy said he gain about 5 cents a day....5cents!!
Another boy is working for his family everyday because his father disappeared. One day a bill collector came to the family to collect dept that his father made before. They took his younger sister and all money the family had, about $30. $30...!!!!!!!

Is it a big money for us??? No...
We can spend it in a second here.

If, in any way, we could send $50 to the family, the family might not need to loose the little dauther and they can live one month without worring anything.
The boy can go to school....
The boy said "I know it's not good for my future not going to school now. But I have to support family. I have to live today."

There are so many kids cannot get education at all in the world.
So many kids are about to die in few seconds.

If they can get good education, they can earn money to live a happy life.

I want to help them to live today, and then get good education.
Just a little money will make a big difference over there.

So I started what I can do today.
I sell my art works and will donate its profits.

The donation will go either to World Vision or Make The Heaven(Japanese NPO)

学生のころの作品で、もっとも愛着のあるものです。これをとにかく手放すことにしました。

このチャリティーサイトを始めた理由

ある日、偶然ＷＡＪＪＵ　（http://www.wajju.jp/clips/list/wajju.php）というサイトにたどり着き、なんとなく、アフガニスタンの生活模様を写すドキュメンタリーを見た。
そして、僕は画面に釘付けになった。
アフガニスタンはいま、とても貧しい。米国が戦争で立ち入った後も、まったく経済はよくならず、あるいは悪化しているとも。
大人たちは職を失い、子供たちは家族を助けるため、学校にも行かず、安い賃金で働く。学校は無料だが、働かないと生活できないから、彼らは仕事を選ぶ。なんて家族思い！（涙うるうる）
その賃金を聞いて、びっくりした。日給6円・・・。（もちろん場合によるとおもうが）
ある家族に借金取りがきて、全財産を持って行ってしまった。その額、3000円前後・・・。

もしかして、どうにかして、その３０００円をその家族に送ることができたら、その家族は一ヶ月、暮らせるんじゃないか？そしてその子供も学校に行くことができ、未来に夢を持つことができるんじゃないか？？

じゃあ、自分に何ができる？と問いかけた。自分の得意なことといえば・・・描くこと、アートだ。
じゃあ、アートを売ろう。
と単純に決めた。そしてこのサイトをやることにした。
売れるのかどうか、わかりません。どのくらい続くかもわからない。
でも、とりあえず、やってみる。やってみてからもいちど考えてみよう。
